Russ was raised in Grand Rapids Michigan. As a young adult he moved to Southern California where he was employed as a school bus driver. He met his wife while employed with the school district and they were married in 1964. Russ was latter employed by ARCO where he drove transports for 20 years. After retiring Russ and his wife owned and operated several businesses simultaneously. These included a towing and automotive repair service and an antique business. Russ and his family moved to the Sequim area in the late 1990's and has been associated with Peter Black Real Estate ever since. Through out their lives Russ and his wife have had an interest in residential and commercial properties. Though they have mainly specialized in buying and refurbishing residential units. Carol & Nelson Topper, aka Team Topper,

We have been together since the early 1960's. We met in San Diego while Nelson was serving in the Navy and Carol was attending San Diego State. Nelson was from McSherrystown, Penn. and Carol was raised in San Diego. Together they started Topper's photography in 1969 in San Diego. The Toppers moved to Sequim in the early 1970's to raise their family. They have been a fixture in the Sequim business and civic community ever since. The Toppers are especially well know for their participation in the areas youth activities over the years. The Toppers have always been interested in real estate and have participated in investment and development opportunities they have seen in the Sequim area over the years. Dean has been a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest. He served in the Marines in WWII and was an observer on deck the USS Missouri during the signing of the Japanese surrender in Tokyo Bay. After returning to Seattle Dean started Geddes electrical contracting co. which he ran to the 1960's. Deans hobbies at the time included racing sports cars in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). In 1959 he became the Pacific Coast Champion racing his 1959 Corvette. Dean has also been heavily involved in the American Legion in which he served as a national officer from 1989-1999. Dean has held a real estate Brokers license since 1958. His real estate carrier has given him a broad background in residential and land sales. For over 40 years Dean wintered in Mexico where he was also involved in real estate and the American Legion.
